Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide
There’s an updated (April 2023) Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide with just a few small changes. Firstly, the term “Cortana Intelligence” is replaced with “Azure AI”. Then there’s a note added on page 33 that for organisations licensed for Intelligent Order Management, Modern Workplace-licensed users can use Teams to collaborate on Intelligent Order Management records.

There’s an updated (January 2023) Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide. There are a couple of minor clarifications (see the Change Log on page 62), and the addition of Managed Environments throughout. Managed Environments were generally available in October 2022 (http://bit.ly/3WwzXRr) and enable IT administrators greater visibility and more control of apps and flows in an environment. Of licensing-worthy note is that when Managed Environments is activated in a specific environment, all Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents, and Power Pages usage in that environment requires standalone licenses.

General Availability of Viva Sales
Microsoft announce that Viva Sales is generally available as of 3 October, 2022. Viva as a brand is about improving the employee experience, with the Viva Suite aimed at employees in any role across a business.
Viva Sales, however, is tailored to improve the employee experience for a specific role – sellers – and it enables these users to use Office 365 and Teams to automatically capture, access and register data into a CRM system, eliminating the administrative burden of manual data entry.
Viva Sales is included in Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise and Premium licences, and is also available as a standalone licence priced at $40 per user per month.
