Dynamics 365 minimum purchase requirements

Microsoft adjust the Product Terms removing the option to combine Finance, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, and Project Operations licences to meet the 20 licence minimum, requiring all customers to now meet the minimum with a single product.

There’s an updated (August 2023) Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide with two main additions.

Firstly, an allowance of 100 invoice capture transactions is added to Commerce, Finance, Project Operations, Supply Chain Management, and the Electronic Invoicing Add-on Capacity licences. Secondly, Business Central Premium licences are added as eligible Base licences for Field Service Attach licences.

Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide

There’s an updated (May 2021) Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide. The first change of note is the amending of the term “entity” to “table” throughout, in line with the updating of some terminology in Dataverse – find details here: https://bit.ly/2Rls5WM. And the second change is the introduction of Electronic Invoicing transactions – see page 32. 100 transactions per tenant are included with Commerce, Finance, Project Operations, and Supply Chain Management licences, and there’s an Add-on available which adds an additional 1,000 transactions per month. Note that transactions do not roll over between months and customers must license for peak capacity.

Power Apps Licensing Guide

There’s an updated (February 2020) Power Apps Licensing Guide. There are changes for the renaming of Talent to Human Resources, and Retail to Commerce, and a correction made for the Power Apps per app default capacity where the File capacity should be 20 GB (not 2 GB), and the Log capacity should be 2 GB (not 200 MB).
