Teams Phone

Overview

Teams Phone is Microsoft’s cloud PBX solution and provides advanced cloud-based call management features such as call groups, call blocking, and call forwarding.

Teams Phone can be used with a Microsoft 365 Calling Plan or a 3rd-party PSTN carrier to enable Teams users to make calls to external telephone numbers.

History

Teams Phone was previously known as Phone System, and before that, as Cloud PBX. The Teams Phone with Calling Plan license was previously known as Teams Calling Essentials.
