Business Central Device license

In addition to the Business Central Essentials and Premium User SLs there is also a Business Central Device SL which gives access to a subset of Business Central capabilities. It’s a pretty similar set of functionality to that which the Dynamics 365 Operations-Device license gives access to, and it’s used for licensing Point of Sale devices, and shop floor or warehouse devices. Users who use a device licensed with a Business Central Device license can either use a shared login or use their existing credentials to use that device. An IT administrator will have assigned security roles to users such that when they log in to a store or warehouse device, they will have access to the right parts of the application to do their jobs.
