Microsoft Sentinel Cost Estimator

In April 2026, Microsoft released the Microsoft Sentinel Cost Estimator in public preview. The tool helps customers estimate Sentinel costs based on data ingestion, retention settings, analytics usage, and expected growth. It offers Sentinel specific cost breakdowns that are not available in the standard Azure Pricing Calculator. To get an idea of how to use it there’s a nice example scenario which takes a fictional company new to Microsoft Sentinel and shows how the estimator gives a high-level estimate of expected costs.
