Copilot Credits Guide

There’s a July version of the Copilot Credits Guide following its introduction to the world in June.

The main focus is a change to the estimated Copilot Credits consumed by Light, Medium, and Heavy Copilot Cowork tasks on page 7. Now, a Light task is estimated to consume at least 100 Copilot Credits (up from 70), and a Heavy task is anything over 700 (down from 1,500). The content of the Copilot Credits Guide is also available at a Licensing Guidance site, but note that this site isn’t yet updated for the changes in the Guide.

Dynamics 365 licensing resources

The Dynamics 365 licensing resources are updated for July 2026.

There are just a couple of minor changes. Firstly, there are lots of links to the brand-new Copilot Credits Guide added in both the Licensing Guide and Deck. Secondly, the gradual removal of all mentions of the Copilot Credits Capacity Pack continues, with references to it taken out of the Power Platform Capacity Add-ons section of the Licensing Guide.

Microsoft have released a brand-new Copilot Credits Guide!

While some sections are the same as the existing Licensing Guides for Copilot Studio, Dynamics 365, and Power Platform, this 12-page guide adds to that information with details of Copilot Cowork, Work IQ API, and some more guidance on AI administration.
