Viva feature comparison table

There’s an updated (April 2024) Viva feature comparison table, a very useful document that covers the Viva family of products and the various components. There are a few changes made to align it with some recent Microsoft announcements.

Firstly, a new column has been added for Viva Pulse – now available as a standalone licence costing $2 per user per month (https://bit.ly/3QHtAe0).

Additionally, the reference to Topics in Viva has been removed, as Viva Topics will be retired in February 2025 (https://bit.ly/3UGfACb).

And, notably, the document now specifies which Viva product requires a Microsoft Teams license, considering that Teams is now sold separately from the Office 365/Microsoft 365 suites (https://bit.ly/3vC9SZR).

Viva products and suite generally available

Microsoft announce that the Viva products (Connections, Insights, Topics, and Learning) are generally available.

Viva is an Employee Experience Platform (EXP), and the individual products can be licensed standalone at $4 per user per month, with the exception of Viva Connections which is included in Teams.

Alternatively, there’s the Viva Suite which is a license for all components at a price of $9 per user per month until September 2022 when it will increase to $12.

Microsoft recently acquired Ally.io which will be included as the fifth component of the suite in 2022, and this product focuses on objectives and key results. In addition, Enterprise Agreement customers can also buy the Viva Suite with Glint – a LinkedIn product which helps customers get visibility into the health of their organisations and to measure employee sentiment in real time. This combination is at a special price of $12 per user per month until September 2022 when it increases to $15.

Microsoft Viva

There will be a number of modules within Viva, with Viva Topics available now, Viva Insights in public preview, Viva Learning in private preview, and Viva Connections coming soon. From a licensing perspective, Viva Topics is available in the EA, EES, and CSP as an add-on licence costing $5 per user per month for commercial users.

There are a whole host of Office 365 and Microsoft 365 licences which qualify as prerequisites which you can find on the Product Terms site here: http://bit.ly/2OFt7vB.
