Microsoft Azure AI Foundry Pricing Guide – April 2026

There’s an updated (April 2026) version of Microsoft’s Azure AI Foundry Pricing Guide.

This is a useful document for understanding how you pay for the different Microsoft Foundry services via Pay-As-You-Go, Batch deployment, or Provisioned Throughput Units.

Updates to the Agent Pre-Purchase Plan

The Agent Pre-Purchase Plan was launched back in November 2025 to make it easier to buy consumption units for Agents created through Microsoft Foundry and/or Copilot Studio. You buy 20,000, 100,000 or 500,000 Agent Commit Units and then have a year to use them on any of the supported services. What’s new? From February 2026 Microsoft Fabric and GitHub Copilot are added to the list of services that the ACUs can be used on.

Availability of the Agent Pre-Purchase Plan

Microsoft announce the availability of the Agent Pre-Purchase Plan. This is a new type of Azure Reservation that enables customers to have a single pool of funds that can be used to pay for both Copilot Credits and Microsoft Foundry costs. You buy Agent Commit Units (ACUs) in one of three tiers, with discounted pricing, and then have a year to use the ACUs over a wide range of services.
