Windows 365 20% promotion extended

Microsoft prolong their Windows 365 promotion, which offers a 20% discount to first-time customers. The promotion runs until April 30, 2026.

Free Windows 10 ESUs for consumers in the EEA

For consumers accessing Windows 10 Extended Security Updates, this typically requires either syncing your PC to Windows Backup, redeeming 1,000 Microsoft Rewards points or paying the equivalent of $30. However, there’s a notable exception for countries in the European Economic Area. Provided you sign into your device with a Microsoft account, ESUs can be enabled until October 13, 2026 at no extra cost.

Windows 10 ESUs

Microsoft release some more details about Extended Security Updates for Windows 10. Organisations can already purchase them through an Enterprise Agreement, and they’ll be available through CSP from 1 September, 2025. However, the biggest news is for consumers – we know that they’ll be available for consumers for the first time and that they’ll cost $30 for the year, but the latest article reveals that if you’re using Windows Backup to sync your settings to the cloud you’ll get ESUs at no charge. Alternatively, if you’ve got Microsoft Rewards points you can pay for the ESUs with 1,000 of them. Whichever way you choose, you’re covered for up to ten devices. Microsoft add Windows 10 ESU Cloud Managed licenses to the April 2025 Product Terms. As a reminder, these are aimed at organisations who are managing updates using Intune or Windows Autopatch and will be offered at a 25% discount from the regular ESUs.
