Overview
When an organization is licensed for Dynamics 365 Field Service, they automatically become entitled for other capabilities. If this proves insufficient, they may purchase additional capacity. Find the capacities below documented in the Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide by searching for “When you license Field Service”.
Field Service Mobile app
A Field Service Contractor and Field Service license give access to the latest version of the Field Service Mobile app. This app is free to download, but may only be used by licensed users enabling a technician to be able to (for example) view and update work orders on the go
Customer Voice
A Dynamics 365 Field Service license includes the following default capacity per tenant per month:
- 2,000 Customer Voice responses
Further capacity is added via the Dynamics 365 Customer Voice Additional Responses license which adds a further 1,000 responses per tenant per month for each license purchased. These additional Customer Voice responses are enforced annually, so a customer can use 12 x 1,000 = 12,000 responses at any time in the year. Any unused responses to not carry over to the next year. Note that this license doesn’t appear in the Product Terms, but you can find it on a price list or in the Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide by searching for “additional response packs”.
History
Originally, a Field Service license included access to Dynamics 365 Remote Access and Dynamics 365 Guides. However, in October 2025, Microsoft announced that Dynamics 365 Guides would reach end of support on December 31, 2026. As of November 1, 2025, subscriptions cannot be purchased or renewed. The last Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide where you can find information about Dynamics 365 Remote Assist and Dynamics 365 Guides is the one from October 2025.
