Microsoft 365 Copilot for Education

Overview

Microsoft announced on October 15, 2025 that Education pricing would be available for Microsoft 365 Copilot. Targeted at educators, staff, and students aged 13 and older, it’s priced at $18 per user per month, compared to $30 for the Commercial version. Availability starts in December 2025, and CSP partners will be able to confirm that it’s on the pricelist preview for January 2026 with the discounted pricing.

Aligned with the Commercial offering, the Education solution offers natural language chat, integration with the Microsoft 365 Apps, cross-organization data reasoning, and access to custom or pre-built Agents grounded in user-selected data and files.

Agents

Two new Agents, Teach and Study and Learn were part of the same announcement. Teach, designed for educators, supports lesson planning and teaching resource creation, including quizzes and rubric tools. Study and Learn, tailored for students, offers personalized learning exercises such as interactive flashcards and mistake analysis.
