Downgrade and down-edition rights

SQL Server 2022 Standard and Enterprise licenses include the usual downgrade rights to previous versions. However, there have been a whole host of different editions of SQL Server over the ages which makes the down-edition rights an interesting read*. Essentially, customers with Enterprise Core licenses can deploy Standard, Business Intelligence, Workgroup, Small Business or Datacenter editions, and customers with Standard licenses can deploy Workgroup or Small Business editions.
