Workplace Discount Program

Overview

Organizations that purchased Project 2021/2019/2016 Standard or Professional licenses with Software Assurance were eligible for the Workplace Discount Program. This entitled the user of the licensed device to purchase a Project Professional 2021 HUP license, at a very cost-effective rate, for use on one device for their use at home. If the user left the organization or they were no longer a user of the licensed device, or the underlying Software Assurance expired, then the HUP license expired.

As of November 2026, Microsoft have not updated the Product Terms for a similar benefit for Project 2024.

History

The Workplace Discount Program was known as the Home Use Program (HUP) until August 2022.
