Microsoft announce a new Azure Savings Plan for Databases. Like its cousin, the Azure Savings Plan for Compute, this is a way of committing to a certain amount of spend every hour which then entitles you to preferential rates on a variety of services. In the case of this new Savings Plan, it\u2019s a whole range of database services of course, and it includes things like Azure SQL Database and Azure Cosmos DB. It\u2019s available to transact through the Azure Management Portal but is currently only available for a 1-year term. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
